The Day My Sugar Baby Sparked My Interest in Astrophotography
My sugar baby was from a small mountain town where the night sky looked completely different from the city. When she first told me about it, I did not realize that one conversation would change how I spent my weekends.
She was an up-and-coming photographer with an eye for the small pieces of nature that survive in urban places. Her photos made ordinary streets feel alive, and I started seeing the world with more patience.
A new way to look up
The first time we drove outside the city to see the stars, I expected a pleasant evening. Instead, I found myself asking questions about lenses, shutter speeds and how to read the sky.
Learning together
She never made me feel foolish for being new. She showed me how to prepare, how to wait and how to enjoy the process even when the perfect shot did not happen.
More than a hobby
Astrophotography became a way for us to slow down, talk and build memories in quiet places. It also reminded me that a relationship can expand your life in ways you do not expect.
What I took from it
A good connection does not have to fit a narrow script. Sometimes the right person opens a door you never knew you wanted to walk through.
